In this transformative project, Schweiger implemented the installation of a new modular N+1 APC UPS system with two 500kW Frames to replace the obsolete setup. The construction of the new UPS room ingeniously repurposed an existing wet cell battery room. During the process, two out of the four battery strings were removed, and temporary safeguards were applied to the remaining operational wet cell strings. The new UPS system and switchgear were installed between the remaining strings. Once the load seamlessly transitioned to the new UPS system, the remaining wet cell strings were taken out, marking the successful removal of the existing four UPS systems, associated switchgear, and CRAC units.
